A to Z Challenge – B

If your new to this Challenge, every day of April, minus the Sundays you blog about the letter assigned for that day. To find out why I’m blogging about what I’m blogging about, then go here. Today’s letter is

Samantha’s word – Baseball

This will be easy.  Baseball is by far my most favorite sport.  I’ve pretty much loved it all my life.  I was a huge fan as a kid and I love that both my kids play now.  I played little league through most of my school years and have watched MLB (Major League Baseball) since then as well.  That is, up until 1994 when they shortened the season because of a strike.  I got pissed at the sport and stopped watching for 5 years before I finally started to watch again.  Now I follow the Chicago White Sox religiously and even manage to get to a few games a year.  But this year, the kids are excited.  I’ve already purchased tickets to take them to their first White Sox game.  Even got handicapped section seating and parking pass so Cheri can go.  It’ll be a family trip.  Plus, all kids 13 and under get a free jersey.  But the best part about going to a ballpark, the food.  Even the smell of the food is awesome.  As you can tell, I can’t wait.  Only 2 months to go.

Unlike most guys, I love baseball more than football.  My family makes fun of me for that, but they just aren’t intelligent enough to follow the game (guess I’ll find out how many of them actually read this.)

Trevor’s word – Bat

I’m really surprised he didn’t put Batman, he loves Batman and especially Batman Lego’s.  But I think I failed at letting him write his answers right next to sisters, he read hers and it directed his mind from baseball to a bat.  I won’t go into a bat, it’s related to baseball so see above.

    1. Thanks, I'm not sure I went the right way with the kids picking my words but I did enjoy it.

  2. You're not alone. I like baseball MUCH more than football (although, I must admit, watching a football game by the fire with a beer is pretty sweet).
I most prefer to watch the New York Yankees.
Unless a professional baseball team is on TV.

  3. Good luck with the challenge, I can't take those daily writing assignments, too much pressure. In fact, the quickest way for me to stop writing is to take part in one of these events.

    1. I wasn't doing much before so it really couldn't get any worse. If I hadn't started the posts a few weeks ago and did them daily, I would definitely not make it.
