It's late and I'm going to bed soon because I volunteered to go in and work some OT tomorrow and I have to get up in less than 5 hours so I'm just going to post the content.

If you watch football, you'll find this funny.

I complain to my wife everytime she watches this show. Why would you want to try to date someone who is technically dating 20 other girls?

I'm going to try to go back to the regular scheduled posts now that I'm back from Florida. While in Florida, I didn't really post anything to my FB page but luckily, I have stuff from the week before that I hadn't posted. You'll notice that most are Christmas themed because of that. So here you go!

Funny Friday #2

I didn't really do much on my Facebook page so I don't have much to post today but I will tell you that I got bored last night so I was playing on my Alexa App and set up a few routines. So now, when I leave work, Alexa tells my wife that

"Your tired husband just left work and is coming home to relax. He'll see you in a little over half an hour from now."

Then when I pull into my neighborhood, she tells her

"This is your last chance to get your boyfriend out of the house."

Last but not least, when I pull in the garage, she announces

"The master of the house has returned." 

I don't think it amused my wife much but I thought it was pretty funny. I haven't deleted them so she'll eventually get tired of hearing them.

Anyways, the reason I'm here and it's a quicky because I only posted 1 thing this week.

Funny Fridays

This was actually over a week ago, but I found it way to hilarious to not share it here as well.

Most weeks there probably won't be this many items on the post, I only post a couple times a week on average there.

Little bit of randomness

As per my usual, I disappeared through the weekend. Mainly because I haven't done anything all weekend. Like most weekends. Trevor is at his mom's and Samantha stayed with a friend all weekend so it's just been the wife and I and we've pretty much vegged out in front of the TV. We've been watching lots of new stuff as well as catching up with the old. I started and finished Westworld and today, we're probably going to watch come movies today. We're in the middle of Sully at the moment, I don't know what we'll watch next.

Day 28, East Chicago, IN (79.2 miles)

I haven't posted much on my trek because there hasn't been to much to see. I am in East Chicago, I've worked my way through Gary, IN so I'm slowly making progress. Obviously I'm heading for Chicago, it's my kind of town after all.

Sunday funnies

Wow! Who would have guessed I'd start the year off posting every day for a whole week. This is just a quick post to let you know what's going on over at this blogs Facebook page. Part of the reason I wasn't blogging much is because I didn't have much to say or at least at length that I thought it would make a good blog post. Not that my blog posts are always that interesting but you know what I mean. So I'm trying to post my short blog post type stuff there and maybe get some interaction. It's been slow going so far but I'm making the effort. Here's what you missed this past week.

Day #2 - Indiana

I went 2.13 miles yesterday, which isn't bad for a non work day. I did take Milo for a walk again but it was a little shorter. I tried to get a quick walk in before I had to go pick up my son from his friends house which ended up being a good thing as it started to rain on my way to get him.

So at a little more than 2 more miles, I still haven't made it out of the neighboring town on my way to SLC. I guess that's why it plans on being a years journey. I found a small house with no one home this time, so I didn't have to use the small axe that I found at the previous stop. I still have my gun and some ammo but as I said yesterday, I needed something quieter. The house next door I could hear banging so I'm guessing the previous occupants are trapped inside. The other side of the house had a creek so I really only have to keep an eye out towards the front and the one side.

I went back to work today, so I promise tomorrow will be more than 2 miles. It was raining when I got home as well so I didn't add to that, at least that's the excuse I'm using. It's certainly not because after 4 days off and sleeping in that I couldn't go to sleep last night until about 1:30 in the morning and had to get up at 5:15 this morning. Which caused me to nap in the recliner once I got home and showered. Definitely not that.

I've been saving the stuff I've been posting on this blogs Facebook page and I got way behind on posting them here because I've been slacking. So since right now, I'm posting daily, I'll post some at the bottom of these posts.

Random stuff for today

Update on cutting the cord (my last post)

We had decided to do it, we were going to stay with Xfinity for internet because let's face it, I have to have high speed and that is what they are best at. I have 4 people in this house, all with laptops and phones. I need high speed just to keep up with that demand let alone all the streaming (Netflix, Amazon) that goes on here. We were about to be done with our 7 day free trial on Sling TV and Hulu (BTW - I have Netflix (my moms account) and Amazon Prime (my daughters account) that I don't pay for) so my wife contacted Xfinity to cancel the cable and phone. She chatted with them on their site and when all was said and done, they lowered our cost of everything we have now for $123/month. That ends up being cheaper than what we were going to do because the internet was going to be $100, Sling TV was $20 (cheapest version) and Hulu was $13, all montly, for a total of $133/month. So we get that rate for a year and we'll either cut the cord next year or get another new low rate. So basically, we aren't cutting the cord. Which we're happy about, just because using a DVR is easier than trying to catch some shows live and trying to remember what all you need to catch up with on Hulu. Plus I'd have to remember the shows I can't watch with those 2 services and try to remember to catch the seasons when they get posted to Amazon or Netflix.

I do the Timehop thing on my phone and today had a few things that I thought were good enough to share.

A year ago today, I posted this on my personal Facebook.

It's funny because it's true. My stepdad does a lot of the work on the families cars because he's good with that stuff. I happen to be at his house when he was working on one of his vehicles and decided I needed to replace some of the duct tape holding my car together (it's old). I backed into somebody either last winter or the winter before, and my bumper (plastic) was hanging on the ground so I duct taped it up rather then spend a fortune on replace it all. I used black duct tape and it's only on one corner of the bumper so it's not that bad looking. The post is also funny because that's about the extent of my knowledge of cars as well.

5 years ago, I posted this post - Please teach your kids!

I was on my way home from picking up the kids from the Ex and was driving down a 2 lane road when I came upon a biker riding his bike in my lane. I slowed down so the car coming towards me got past so I could go around him in the other lane. Unbeknownst to me, he didn't know I was there and turned right in front of me as I was passing him. I made that post thinking he was just going to ride on the other side since there was no cars coming. I see kids doing that all the time, riding on both sides depending on the traffic. After I made that post, I found out he was an adult not a kid (I thought he was an older teenager) and I also found out he was actually turning down the street to the left and not just switching lanes. Either way, it wasn't a pleasant evening for either of us, or the kids.

I never heard anything about the rider, I heard him tell the ambulance that he never saw me and I know his head is what did the damage to my windshield (pictured above), it went clean all the way through before he rolled off my hood. He stood up afterwards so I assume it wasn't anything major.

That one was just funny, I love their croissanwiches, I hate the running to the bathroom afterwards.

This section will become a regular for however long I keep it as a regular. I'm going to repost all the funny stuff I post on my Random Thoughts Facebook page over here on Sundays, call it Sunday comics or funny's or something. Either way, here's your first dose. Feel free to join the FB page so you don't miss out when my lazy ass stops posting them here.
