We rented 4 movies from Redbox last weekend since there isn’t crap on TV for a few weeks. We knew there was nothing out that we really wanted to see, so we took a shot at some other movies, that’s the advantage of Redbox and only paying a little over $1 for each rental, you can take chances.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
This was better than we thought it would be. Really great if you compare it to the rest of the movies we bought for this evening to watch. I figure I might like it since it has the whole supernatural thing to it, but Cheri actually liked it as well, which is saying a lot. You never really know, especially when you don’t any of the cast.

This was what I thought it would be, yet, was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought it would be one of those comedies that is ok but has some really funny parts to it, which it was. What I didn’t know was that they were going to battle aliens. That was my fault because I never really read much on it. But it wasn’t a bad movie, as long as you understand it’s not going to be a laugh out loud kind of comedy.

This started off slow. I liked the concept of the movie, it reminded me of a lot of the books that I read about end of the world survival. Except by the time it got going, it was over. The action was good and if the whole movie was like that it would have been better but it took an hour to get to it.

We figured, Paul Rudd, we like him. It was a new movie and he’s done some good stuff lately. I like Paul Giamatti, he can be funny. Not so much. I thought this was more comedy than drama but it ended up the opposite. To be honest, I don’t remember laughing at all.

You didn't laugh out loud at "The World's End"? I thought it was hilarious. Also, if you haven't seen it, make sure to grab "Gravity" because it was really, really good.
