I mentioned in my last Randomness post that I came up with a new series for this blog and this is right up my alley and I will probably never run out of material.
I mentioned that I spent some time at the hospital recently. The first day while Cheri’s sister was in surgery, we spent 6 or 7 hours in the waiting room. A lot of people came and went while we were there. Being as I hate people, I was glad we took 3 seats with a table that was off in the corner so the less people we’d have to deal with. It worked for the most part as far as the people went, what it didn’t work for was all of their cellphones. I got so tired of hearing peoples phones going off. Every tone set for text messages going off constantly. For a little while, one of the phones would say loudly “message received” every time she sent a message. Is it really that hard to silence your phone or put it on vibrate? Heaven forbid your self centered ass doesn’t take a second to think about the people around you. There is no reason you can’t have your phone on vibrate. If your waiting for an important call or text, you just make sure your phone is in front of you so you don’t miss it.
Personally, my phone is always on vibrate, I don’t ever use ringtones. The only time you’ll hear my phone is when the alarm goes off in the morning and I guarantee you aren’t going to hear it unless your sleeping with me. Even my alarm starts off quiet and gets louder so I can hopefully get to it before it annoys my wife.
I could really give you a whole list of reasons I hate people with cellphones but I’ll save those for other posts.
Since I don't own a cell phone you'll need to think up another reason to hate me. But not to worry, there are plenty of reasons to choose from.
