The year in review

I’ve seen a couple of these posts going out and I thought I would try my hand at one.  A year in review for myself.  I’m going through my Facebook and my blog and see what was going on, month to month.

If I recall correctly, we were buried in snow most of the month. We were still enduring the worst winter we’ve had in awhile.  Piles and piles of snow all season long along with much colder than normal temperatures and I mean freezing temperatures. Multiple days below 0° kind of freezing.

Both kids were awarded honor roll this month, between the 2 of them, they had all A’s and 1 B.  Boy have things changed.  While Trevor still keeps straight A’s, since Samantha started Junior High, her grades have slipped and has even lost her phone for having a failing grade at times.

Went to a Notre Dame hockey game with my stepfather, had a good time, it was a really nice arena. They were playing Lake Superior State but that didn’t stop me from wearing my Michigan Wolverines hat and sweatshirt.

My wonderful wife created our new T-shirts for our annual Walk MS walk.

shirts

I had 25 blog posts in Jaunary, only 5 weren’t reviews of some kind. 2 bitching about theEx, 1 plugging my social media accounts, 1 about our kitty and 1 teasing my daughter about taking her to the daddy/daughter dance.

Had my first daddy/daughter dance. I had a great time watching Samantha be so happy with her friends. I even danced all the slow songs, and 1 upbeat one, although I’m not sure you would call that dancing. I look like an idiot all dressed up.

Samantha’s first basketball season is underway. I loved watching her play, too bad she quit this year, she says she’ll play next year but we’ll see.

We switched to AT&T from Verizon in order to save $100 a month on our bill. I knew the service wasn’t as good but with the money we could save, we thought it was worth it.

One of my favorite pictures of Samantha and I.

17 blog posts in February but only 3 were non reviews.  I didn’t realize exactly how many reviews I did on my blog at the time.  Out of the 3 non reviews posts, 2 were random posts and 1 about the daddy/daughter dance.

The only thing worth mentioning that took place in March was I left a job that I had for over 14 1/2 years. While I still liked what I did at that job, I absolutely hated the hours that they changed to a couple of years before. I’d work 12 hour days but that wasn’t the had part, between the getting off at 7 pm on the days I worked and the schedule is what did it. This was my schedule for 2 weeks, then it would repeat. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.  It sounds great having all that time off, but working every other weekend sucked almost as bad as getting off work at night instead of midafternoon.

I started my new job this month as well. A job I thought I would probably have until I retire.

I had 11 posts in March on this blog and only 4 were actual posts. One about quitting the job and one about Jelly Beans (exciting stuff) and 2 in preparation for the A to Z Challenge.

I saw Captain America: the Winter Soldier in the theaters. The first time of 3 in the theaters, I rented it once also, I really liked it.

I did the A to Z Challenge in April for the 2nd year in a row. This year I went through my playlist “Anything & Everything” on Spotify. I had fun doing it but it took a lot more time than I thought it would. It was probably the only month I had interaction with my followers, I don’t get to many comments, which is a given considering I don’t post much.

I had 27 posts in April but most of those were A to Z related.

One of my favorite all time shows came back for a short season, Jack Baur was a badass on 24.

Other than the usual holiday traditions for Mother’s Day and Memorial Day, nothing too exciting.

I had 12 posts in May, most of those were journal entries, which I abandoned on doing them after about a week.

Both kids ended the year with straight A’s again. Samantha had perfect attendance while Trevor only had 1 missed day.

I’ve been golfing a lot more so I got an early Christmas gift from my mom.

The new job allows me to do this since I now get off work at 2 in the afternoon.

I only had 1 post in June and it was a randomness to catch up on what I’ve been doing. Which wasn’t much.

I started my new (private) blog “My Life”, I started at 5/22/08. I believe now I’m up to April of 2011 so I still have a ways to go. I’ve been slowly getting there. Maybe by this time next year, I’ll be at our current date.

My cousin (whom I grew up with) came up from North Carolina on July 4th. I don’t get to hang with him very often so it’s always an event when the 4 of us cousins can get together.

Not a lot happened in July, Trevor had his scout camp and Samantha volunteered to help so they went every day for one of the weeks.

34 posts in July because I was still doing the journal entries. Which means I know what I did every day of that month and still have little to say about July.

Samantha did her walk through and the kids started school in August. Samantha’s first year as a Junior Higher. Trevor has one more year of Intermediate school before he advances.

Took the kids to the Hall of Heroes comic book museum towards the end of the month. I had a blast seeing all the old toys as well as one of the actual shields used in the first Captain America but autographed by the cast of the 2nd Captain America movie. Not to mention the bat suit that Adam West wore during his time as Batman.

Trevor had his birthday party at the (not really local) laser tag place. He had a blast as did all the other kids. It’s always nice when I can do these kinds of things for them. Of course, it’s usually because my mom helps out with the cost.

We switched back over to Verizon this month. They finally lowered their plans and since we still had our Verizon phones from before, we didn’t have to buy any new ones. Although I did anyways because I like having the latest technology.

34 posts in August, but like last month, that’s because I was still doing the journal entries.

They opened the Taco Bell next door. If you know me, then you know that’s a big event in my life.

I got laid off of my job, which I had left my other job for. Wasn’t too happy about that after leaving a job I had for over 14 years.

Had to start taking Samantha to their high school football games so she could hang with her friends (and boyfriend) on Friday nights. She’s starting to get a social life which means I have to do more driving her around.

Took Samantha to her first Michigan game at the Big House. It was a great day just hanging out with her and I think she had a great time. It would have been better had Michigan actually played instead of laying down dead, but other than that, it was a good time.

12 posts in September. I stopped with the daily journal entries and went to a weekly, eventually those will stop to.

I started a new job. I’m working where my mom did before she retired. It’s been OK, the job isn’t bad and I’m more relaxed than I was at the previous one, everything was so uptight there. This job is a lot more laid back.

Samantha’s first Choir concert. These have been awesome, not really, but it’s an obligation and Samantha seems to enjoy it.

Cheri and I celebrated our 4th anniversary.

My mom signed up Samantha for the Michigan’s women’s basketball camp and it was towards the end of the month so I drove her up there for a few hours to work with the ladies. It was a good time and my first time in the Crisler Arena.

Only 3 posts in October.

Not too much happened this month. Thanksgiving was good since a couple of uncles came into town who I never see. One lives in Texas, the other in California. I saw them a few times since they were both here for around a week.

3 posts in November, 2 of those being journal entries.

Samantha spent the first couple of weeks grounded from her phone due to her grade in Math class. I don’t think she even cared. She is so my daughter and my mom loves it.

My mom, Samantha and I all went up to Ann Arbor to watch our first women’s basketball game. It was a great time.

Only 3 posts in December (including this one). I haven’t been a very good blogger the last couple of months.

Book and Movie reviews

I haven’t had too much going on lately. Mainly getting ready for Christmas. Gift giving wise, it isn’t the same we thought it would be since I haven’t received child support in almost 2 months. We’ve still managed to get gifts for the kids, just not much for anybody else. Other than that, it’s been a usual couple of months. There were a few incidents that I would have normally blogged about but as much as I enjoy blogging here, I just didn’t feel the need to put it all out there. I’m starting to keep stuff from the blog, which isn’t something I’ve always done, but for some reason, it doesn’t seem like I want to do it anymore so I’m not sure what’s going to come of this blog. For today though, I’m going to catch up on some reviews. Let’s start with the books I’ve finished the last couple of months.

zzz-lawsbookreviews

The Witch With No Name (The Hollows, #13)

The Witch with No Name (the Hollows #13) by Kim Harrison

If you’ve been on my blog awhile, then you know this is my all-time favorite series. I loved all these books and this one is just the same, except that I’m sad that it’s the last one of the series.

I gave it 5 stars on Goodreads and Amazon

Bottled Abyss

Bottled Abyss by Benjamin Kane Ethridge

I enjoyed this because it was different then a lot of the other books that I’ve read. It was a little weird at the start, and stayed weird. By the time I got to the end, I just wanted it to be done so I could start something else that I would rather enjoy.

I gave it 2 stars on Goodreads and Amazon.

Bitten

Bitten by Dan O’Brien

I enjoyed this werewolf tale to a point, but the bitten individual just essentially is crazy, and I mean psycho which I guess made the story interesting, it’s just not as interesting as I would have hoped.

I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads and Amazon.

The Ghost Files (The Ghost Files, #1)

the Ghost Files (Ghost Files #1) by Apryl Baker

I enjoyed this one. The love between the 2 main characters was a little odd at first but it didn’t lead where I thought it might which would have been a major turn off. It was a good story and enjoyed the characters.

I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads and Amazon.

Disappearance

Disappearance by Ryan Wiley

This started off really good, then about 3/4 of the way through it all changed and went downhill. I was really into it until that change, when I got to the little twist at the end, it felt like the author was just trying to make up for getting me really into it, then pulling the rug out.

I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads and Amazon.

zzz-lawsmoviereviews

Since there isn’t much on TV for the next few weeks, I’m not sure what we are going to watch because we generally watch a lot of TV.  Went to Redbox last night and rented 5 DVD’s.

04

Guardians of the Galaxy

I took the kids to see this in the theaters but Cheri hadn’t seen it yet, plus, I’m not above seeing a Marvel more than once. I loved the movie, I didn’t think it was the best movie of the year good but I did really enjoy it.  I might have been expecting more with all the reviews before I seen it which lead to higher expectations.

I give it 4 stars, Cheri gave it 5.

03

Tammy

We both like Melissa McCarthy and are used to the humor of her movies so I knew what to expect going in. It was about what I expected. They story was ok but the humor was really good. It definitely had it’s hilarious moments. It’s worth seeing but I definitely wouldn’t pay theater prices for it.

I give it 3 stars, Cheri gave it 3 1/2.

01

The Purge: Anarchy

These movies are what they are. Thrillers with some action, which isn’t a bad thing. I might have even enjoyed this one more than the first one because it had people who were fighting back against the purge. Plus, it’s always good for a discussion with the wife on what we would do if there was a purge every year.

I give it 4 stars, Cheri gave it 4 as well.

05

The Expendables 3

This is what it is as well. A huge action flick with a crap load of action stars. I do like these movies even just for all the action. It was also nice to see Mel Gibson doing a big budget movie again. I always liked his movies.

I give it 4 stars, Cheri was too tired to finish it so no review from her.

02

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Another good X-Men movie.  A little different since the majority of it takes place the year I was born,, but I still enjoyed it, like I usually do with this franchise.

I gave it 4 stars, Cheri didn’t watch it.

What I’ve been up to in social media

I know, I know, it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted. I’m a slacker.  I have been posting to my Tumblr accounts but I queue those up to run a week at a time so I don’t have to mess with them but even with that I’ve gone 5 to 7 days without posting before getting some more in the queue.  If it makes you feel better, I’m 11,477 behind in my feedly too.  I haven’t been spending much time there either, which is where most of the content for the Tumblrs come from to so there’s that reason as well.

What have I been doing?

I updated all my Twitter accounts (cover photos and some profile pics changed) as well as I have been trying to tweet on them more.  I’ve been trying to tweet some personal stuff on my actual account (@jccsst1022) instead of only having my tumblr posts posted for me.  Such as this.

2014-12-02-01

Yeah, some of them are bitching, but I’ve found when I make a complaint about companies on Twitter, a lot of the times, you’ll get a response. I didn’t from UPS, but I have from Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and a couple of others so I tend to take to Twitter pretty quickly when I have a complaint.

2014-12-03-02

I’ve been trying to keep up with my book updates as well, although, now that I see this, I realized I forgot to put any hashtags on it.  A rookie mistake, I told you I was a slacker.

I haven’t been tweeting everything I do or anything, but a couple of tweets a day.  I also post Last Song of the Day posts there as well.

I also have been posting to my sports related account (@sportobsession6).  Such as this.

2014-11-30-04

I’ve been tweeting out when I’m watching games, usually a tweet or 2 a game, not a play by play or anything. I do less bitching on this one, but if I have a sports related one, I’ll let it go.

2014-11-30-05

Yeah, I’m on Snapchat as well. I’m not on it very often and rarely ever send snaps but I do play around some, like on Thanksgiving when I made this.

Snapchat-4984701806702664240-1

I don’t ever send them, I just create them and send them to my phone and send them out via text message.  For one, there isn’t very many people on snapchat, at least that I know of.  I was just goofing out for that one, I sent it to Samantha and Cheri.

Back to twitter, I’ve also been using my Michigan Wolverine twitter account (@MSOWolverines) as well, usually when I’m watching a game.  Such as this.

2014-12-06-02

Sometimes, I’ll just retweet other information that is related to the school.  Such as this.

2014-12-03-03

I know none of that really explains what I’ve been doing all this time but what I have been doing the most is working on My Life blog (which is private) and also my My Sports Obsession – Index, which takes quite a bit of time.

My Life is where I’m taking all my social media and putting it into one blog. Sort of a journal for my kids when I’m gone. I know, it’s morbid, but I lost my father at 8 years old so I’m well aware that my time can come at any time. You go to the day in question on the blog and it will show what I posted on each of my accounts.  Even before social media, you can click on a year and it will show all my photos that I have scanned for that year.  If you want to see all the stuff I’ve posted about a certain family member, search or click on their name and bam, there it is.  Want to see just the photographs I’ve posted, click on the word photographs and each post that has one on it will come up.  As you can tell, it takes some work.  I’m starting with the oldest first so right now I’m only having to deal with Facebook, the 1 Twitter account and YouTube. The closer I get to catching up then I have to deal with a lot more. such as this blog and a couple others, 4 different tumblrs, pinterest and more.  Right now I’m getting ready to start on October of 2010, so as you can see, I still have a ways to go.  A lot of the hard work is done, I’ve screen capped every tweet and facebook post (did that today), now it’s just getting them all together.

My Sports Obsession – Index is just that, an index. I’m using that blog to index all of the sports pictures that I’ve posted on all of my sports related accounts.  Between My Sports Obsession, the 2 sports tumblr accounts, and a few different boards on pinterest.  You’ll be able to search by team or player, college and pro, multitude of sports.  On that blog, I’m up to October 3rd, 2012, but I’m also redoing the ones that I have finished so technically, I’m not that far yet.

So as you can tell, I’ve still been busy, just not on this blog.  Sorry.  I’d tell you that I was going to do better, but let’s face it, I don’t know that I will.

Week in Review

I decided to add my suppers so you all could see how well my lovely wife feeds me, also the reason I’m fat. Although, that’s my fault because I almost always go back for seconds.

Monday, November 3rd.

  • Cheri made Baked Parmesan Paprika Chicken with Broccoli and Cheese and Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

Tuesday, November 4th.

  • Samantha had tryouts for the basketball team, I’m really hoping she makes it although by the sounds of it, there wasn’t very many girls who tried out so she may make it by default.  I’m OK with that, I just like watching her play.
  • Passed an accident today.  Weather was good so it shouldn’t have been a factor. Basically, it looked like someone in the left turn lane decided to merge to his right but there was a car there and he merged into the other lane.  All 3 cars were pushed together when we went by.
  • Cheri made Applesauce Bar-b-que Chicken with potatoes and applesauce.  Very good meal, everything tasted good.  Potatoes were yummy.

Wednesday, November 5th.

  • Had Taco Bell for supper, Cheri’s body wasn’t doing to well and she didn’t want to hang out in the kitchen.
  • I took over 10,000 steps today (I have a pedometer on my phone) for only the 3rd time since I’ve owned this phone, which is probably 3 months.

Thursday, November 6th.

  • Cheri got up a little before me because her sister was having surgery this morning and she wanted to be there for her.
  • I got off of work and then headed up to the hospital to see her sister and stopped and visited my grandparents. My grandfather was there for his weekly visit so I chit chatted with them for a bit before they left.
  • Another day (4th) that I took over 10,000 steps. Thanks to the hospital would be my guess.
  • Had McDonalds for supper since we were out (McRib is back!).
  • Went to bed before 11 pm, which is rare for me.  I usually go to bed around 11:30ish.

Friday, November 7th.

  • Had the sex talk with Samantha, covering everything kind of sex talk. She was disgusted by it, which is a good sign for me.
  • Samantha decided she was going to go to her mom’s this weekend since the JackAss was going to to out of town.
  • I dropped Samantha and my niece off at the high school sectional game, not that she’s there for football.  TheEx picked her up from the game and I met her with Trevor.  We discussed the rules of Samantha “dating” which is essentially, she can see him at school functions and that is it because she isn’t actually allowed to date.  She also told me she’s switching jobs again, let’s just hope she remembers to transfer the child support.
  • Cheri made a baked potato with chili and cheese on it for supper.

Saturday, November 8th.

  • We went to Cheri’s sisters house, she got home from the hospital yesterday and her other 2 sisters were going to be there.  It’s a rarity for all 4 of them to be together.  We hung out all day.  She looked to be doing a lot better.  On the way out there, I realized I forgot to set the DVR for the Michigan game and I hadn’t reset my Xfinity app since I upgraded my DVR so I couldn’t set it with my phone.  They had the Notre Dame game on which was on at the same time and I didn’t want to be anti-social and go into another room to watch it so I loaded it up on my phone and had the volume down and watched both games at once.
  • Cheri’s sister made Chicken Noodles and we had mashed potatoes, green beans and croissants for a late lunch.
  • We left after 7 and grabbed some Taco Bell on the way home.

Sunday, November 9th.

  • Didn’t do a damn thing all day.  Only had 137 steps today.  Part of that is because I tend to leave my phone on the couch when I walk away for a few minutes, otherwise I would have had at least 200. Lol
  • Samantha text me and said theEx was dropping them off so I GPS’d them to see that they were on their way to be home on time.  They stopped somewhere for 20 minutes. That somewhere is the same street that her boyfriend lives.  We just had this talk earlier in the week that she was only allowed to see him at school functions.  When she got home, she fessed up, with a little prodding from us, where she was at.  I asked if she remembered that she was only supposed to see him at school functions, she said yes.  So you saw your boyfriend?  Yes.  Was it at a school function?  No.  So are you seeing what you did wrong. The worse part is I just had this discussion with theEx and here she was, breaking the rules already. The only reason I didn’t ground her was because theEx was there but it counts as a warning, next time there will be consequences.
  • I decided I would test Trevor and when I put him to bed, I asked where they were before they came home. He said they came from the pizza place. So you went straight from the pizza place to home?  Yes. So now your mother is teaching you to lie. He said they told me to say that. Freaking unbelievable.
  • I listed some tapes of my brothers to get rid of on Ebay. I sold 4 of them so far but when they tried to pay, it kept telling me it was pending. Come to find out, Ebay changed my Paypal address so the payment went to an email address I had over 4 years ago, which I have no access too.  Cheri googled and apparently, Ebay did that to a lot of sellers. So now I’m trying to get the people that purchased them to cancel their payments and send them to the correct address. Pain in the ass, and even though it’s Ebay’s mistake, I’m the one that looks bad.
  • Cheri made another Potato with Chili and Cheese for supper.

In case you didn’t know, this was actually a busy week for me, which is why there is so much fast food up there.  Normally, we eat at home throughout the week. We will eat out more on the weekend because we don’t have the kids.

Quick book review

The End: A Postapocalyptic Novel (The New World Series, #1)

The End – A Post Apocalyptic novel by G. Michael Hope

I finished this earlier in the week.  I liked it and I look forward to picking up some more in this series.  I need to put it on my Amazon wish list.  It’s essentially what would happen if a nuclear attack happened.  It’s pretty realistic and that’s probably what I liked the most.

I gave it 4 stars on Amazon and Goodreads.

Catching up

I was updating my “stats” spreadsheet and realized that I hadn’t posted here in about a week and a half so I’m going to try to get something out.

I started a daily journal (private) so I stopped posting that here, the good thing about that is I can go back to see if anything has happened in the past week and a half.

Before I do, I should mention that my 12 year old daughter has figured out boys, damn it.  She has a “boyfriend”.  The quotes would be because I basically told her, you can call him boyfriend if you want, it’s just a title, but there will be no dates.  You can see him at school functions and school and that’s it.  He keeps begging her to come to his house and I won’t allow it, she’s freaking 12, I don’t think so.

Tuesday, October 21st

Samantha got invited to a friends brothers football game so she went home with her friend after school so she could go.  When they were dropping her off afterwards, I got a phone call that the friends mom wanted to talk to me.  So I went outside and she told me that when they got to the game, Samantha took off with her boyfriend and her friend is required to sit and watch the game to support her brother.  So the friend invited her, their mom paid for her to get in (Samantha had money, the mom opted to pay) and Samantha ditched her.  So needless to say, she got a lecture when I got upstairs.  The mom had said that the friend didn’t want her to say anything so I just had a conversation with Samantha and steered her to what I wanted her to admit and when she did, she got lectured.  I was so disappointed in her, and I let her know it.  She was told to apologize to her friend the next day at school and she lost her phone for 2 days.  She got multiple lectures from the family about it, hopefully she learned her lesson.

I knew boyfriends would just cause problems.

Thursday and Friday, October 23 and 24th

We had inventory at work these 2 days.  I ran a forklift both days but I ran the stand up forklift.  Now I used to walk for 12 hour days and my legs would be tired but this was actually worse.  Since it’s the stand up forklift, I’m basically standing in one spot the whole time, my legs were killing me.  What’s worse is there is a pedal under my left foot so I have to keep some weight on that leg so I couldn’t even shift my weight back and forth.  I put 12 hour days in both days and about 5 hours on Saturday as well, but most of Saturday was sitting around.

Friday night, October 25th

Went to the high school football game.  Samantha wants to go to the home games now because her friends go and more specifically, her “boyfriend” so I have been taking her and then sit with my cousins who have a son on the team.  He’s a freshman so he doesn’t get much playing time at all on the varsity squad but he’s out there and dressed and may end up starting as soon as next year.  The real reason I go is because they set up a elephant ear cart.  I love elephant ears.

On the way home, in the parking lot to our apartment.  I pulled up and there were 2 cars parked next to each other, talking.  I pulled up, they didn’t move, so I quickly tapped the horn.  Nobody moved.  So I quickly tapped it again, still nobody moved.  So I laid on the horn for 10 seconds.  They finally moved and proceeded to the parking spot.  Apparently, one of the cars was the same neighbor that hates me because I make him turn down his stereo.  I got out of the car and he mumbled, you didn’t have to lay on the horn like that.  I said apparently I did, you weren’t moving.  He said we would have moved, you didn’t have to honk the horn.  I said how about you think about someone other than yourself for once and I walked away as he was mumbling something else.

Saturday, October 26th

In my last post, I mentioned that Samantha had wrote her mom a note about what she was feeling.  She was texting with her in the car and asked if she read the letter and she said she had so she asked her what she thought and her response was, you have the right to your opinions but I’m staying with the JackAss.  So Samantha essentially told her that she wasn’t going over there anymore and theEx said ok.  That was it.  Haven’t really talked since.

Earlier in the week, my mom had stumbled across the fast that the Michigan women’s basketball program was having a basketball camp for elementary and junior high kids so she signed Samantha up for it.  So Saturday morning, Samantha and I headed up to Ann Arbor.  We got there early enough that we walked around the Crisler Arena beforehand.  It was pretty cool, looked at some trophies and such, then we watched the elementary kids do their clinic.  Eventually Samantha got to go to her camp and I sat and watched.  They basically set up multiple clinics and you rotated to each one and one of them was a tour of the locker room.  The women’s players are the ones that led the clinics so she got to interact with them as well.  After the clinic, they got free posters and got to get all the team’s autographs.  Samantha had a great time and I had a good time just being there.

Here’s the photos from that day.

Monday, October 27th

Took Trevor to the library, he finished the 9 books he grabbed last time and got 7 more.  He’s definitely a reader.  Of course, that may be different if I didn’t have the no electronics for an hour after school rule.

Wednesday, October 29th

Our annual tradition of my brothers family, my family and my mom and stepdad get together took place Wednesday night.  We all get together, go to the pumpkin patch where all the kids pick out pumpkins, then we go back to my mom’s where the kids carve them out.  Then we sit down for supper and usually celebrate my stepfathers birthday which was on the 26th.  He’s only 56 now but apparently my mom was dyslexic that evening and put 65 on the cake.  Nobody said anything until after we sang, he blew out candles and photos were taken.

Thursday, October 30th

Samantha had her 2nd choir concert of the year.  It was technically the high school concert but they had a choir camp a few weeks ago and the kids who went to the camp, did a song during the fall concert.  She sang and danced to the Purple People Eater.

Friday, October 31st

Halloween.  Every year we go over to my grandparents house for a chili supper before we take the kids around trick or treating.  The kids are all getting older now and we actually only had 4 kids go.  Trevor went as Steve from Minecraft ($25 for a cardboard box head, ridiculous).  Samantha went and walked around but didn’t dress up.  We usually stick to a route that we’ve done since I was a baby, but since it was in the 30’s and snowing, we shortened it up.  Yes, it was snowing, in October.

After trick or treating, we hung at the grandparents house for a little bit and then I took my brother’s kids home, or at least the son because the daughter was coming home with us.  We met theEx and dropped off Trevor and then headed home.

Saturday, November 1st.
