Today's thievery comes from Curious as a Cat
2. If you had to enter a competition for the "Most Uselessly Unique Talent," what would your talent be? I don't know, maybe I'm pretty good at guessing how long it's been, time wise. Example: I can guess pretty accurately when 10 minutes is up.
3. When it might hurt their feelings, how do you feel about telling your friends the truth? I'm all about the truth, but it really would depend on the friend. If they outright asked me, I wouldn't lie but I may avoid the subject.
4. Peanut or plain? Peanut
5. Is there someone you would like to take your place in life for one day? Who and why? My kids, so they can see what happens when you get stuck doing factory work and maybe motivate them to find something they love doing.
6. Who was your favorite teacher and why? Mrs. Wagoner, she made it fun and seemed like she cared.
7. What do you think is the ugliest thing or event on Earth? 9/11. I know there is a ton more things I could list but I was alive for that one and it hit home with me.
8. What is your least favorite of your personality traits or quirks? I ask to many questions. It's not about being nosy, it's about having all the information but that's not how people perceive it. Some people take offense to it. My wife gets mad because she thinks I'm questioning why she did something but in reality, I just want to know her reasoning behind it. I don't care that she did it.
9. I wish I could see my kids future because I want to make sure I'm doing it all right.
10. Tell us your favorite children's story. I have no idea, I don't remember ever being attached to a specific one.
11. Explain how to play your favorite game. Google baseball.
12. What do you keep in the trunk of your car? I believe a blanket is the only thing back there and that's to cover the back seat when the dog goes for a ride. I don't trust his nails going through the leather seats.
13. Tell us about your favorite way to get lost in a simple activity — running, chopping vegetables, folding laundry, whatever. What’s it like when you’re in "the zone"? I can't really think of anything specific as in a simple activity but I do get zoned out at work some days and get a ton accomplished and look back and realize just how much I have done.
14. What’s your dream tourist destination — either a place you’ve been and loved or a place you ’d love to visit? What about it speaks to you? Somewhere in the US, I have no desire to travel to other countries. Maybe Hawaii or Alaska, they look beautiful.
15. What parts of nature do you like best? The green of the grass or the mountains, I love the mountains.
16. What kind of program do you enjoy most on TV--detective shows, comedies, game shows--and why? I pretty much watch everything, my favorites are probably the buddy action/comedies.
17. Do you know any professional athletes? The closest I could come is that I saw Shawn Kemp play in high school, he went to school around here but if I say that, then I could list a bunch of MLB players who played here in South Bend for the minor league team that I've probably seen as well.
18. What will the next must-have technological innovation be? Jetpacks? Hoverboards? Wind-powered calculators? I don't know, but I'll probably want it. Not that I'll buy it, but I'll want it.
19. Have you ever been the victim of a crime? My car got broken into when I worked 3rd shift. Wallet and cassette tapes were stolen which tells you how long ago that was.
20. What if you woke up tomorrow with the ability to understand animals. What do you think you’d hear from them? Our cat would complain because nothing is ever good enough for her. The dog would want to know why he doesn't get to go for walks more often. They'd both want to know why my wife won't leave them alone.
21. What is something that makes you melancholy? Thinking about all the crap my wife has to deal with when it comes to her medical issues.
I've been guilty of #8 more times than I can remember.
