Sunday Stealing - Thought Provoking Questions

I haven't posted here very often anymore but I constantly tell myself, I should post that. Than when I get home, I never do. It would be nice if things would come to me while I'm sitting on my ass at my laptop.

I usually glance at these question every week and see if they pop out to me. These ones were going to take some thinking so I thought I would take a shot.

These are from a site called Thought Provoking Questions.

1. If you had to teach something, what would you teach?  Probably gym class, I know a lot about sports.

2. What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?  My wife, doing and having (sorry, couldn't resist.) She is a big part of the reason that my life has been pretty good the last decade or so. She doesn't let my bullshit slide.

3. Are you holding onto something that you need to let go of?  The hatred of my ex-wife. It's not even that I hate her but I hate the fact that she doesn't absolutely nothing for her kids.

4. When you are 80-years-old, what will matter to you the most?  Family, hopefully my kids will still love me.

5. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards and just do what you know is right?  This is a very general question, it really depends on what it is.

6. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?  My mind, 30ish. My body, 60ish

7. Would you break the law to save a loved one?  Again, depends on who or what I gotta do. Drive over speed limit to get someone to a hospital, sure, without question.  Kill somebody because my loved one was an idiot, probably not.

8. What makes you smile?  Watching Michigan or the White Sox beat someone. My wife's when she really laughs. Watching those damn video about soldiers coming home and surprising their kids.

9. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?  Probably, I'm lazy.

10. If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people, what would your message be?  Tolerance.

11. If the average human lifespan was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?  Hopefully I would grow up quicker.

12. What do we all have in common besides our genes that makes us human?  We all want to be loved.

13. If you could choose one book as a mandatory read for all high school students, which book would you choose?  1984, I think with our technology, it will say more today than ever.

14. Would you rather have less work or more work you actually enjoy doing?  If I enjoy it, why wouldn't I want more of it.

15. What is important enough to go to war over?  Only reason to go to war is to protect, our way of life, people, ect. Some people truly won't stop unless they are stopped.

16. Which is worse, failing or never trying?  Never trying but failing really does suck.

17. When was the last time you listened to the sound of your own breathing?  All the time, considering I can barely breathe through my nose anymore.

18. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? Keep stats of my life.

19. What does ‘The American Dream’ mean to you?  The slogan means owning a home and running your own business. What it actually means to me is having the freedoms to do what you want within the confines of the law.

20. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?  If I was a genius, I would play a simpleton and therefore be more joyful because I was pulling it over on everyone.
