Journal, July 31st

The end of the month crap at work sucks.  Nobody wants to be charged for the inventory so we get nothing in the last few days and we run out of things.  We run out of things and there is nothing to do.  The convertor lines basically cleaned all day, the lines didn’t run.  I organized stuff with the forklift, the day was just dragging.  Now at midnight tonight, everything will start coming in on the trucks and we’ll have work to do tomorrow.  It’s just stupid, but I do have a funny story.

Usually, when I go to the bathroom, I leave the forklift in my area.  I got paged to department 78 and I took care of their things then figured, since I’m here (next to the bathroom) I’ll just park it here and go.  When I come out, I go back to my area and the forklift is gone.  My forklift was down so I was using the extra one so pretty much any time it’s free, someone is taking it.  I walked around and did nothing for half an hour, waiting for my forklift to return.  During my walk, I walked up the front aisle and there was my forklift, right where I left it.  It was sitting there the whole time but out of habit, I thought it was in my area.  What’s even worse, it was parked right next to the aisle that I used to go to the bathroom.  So when I was finished, I walked right past it.

Samantha has a friend over for the evening and tomorrow.  It’s the girl that she talks to non-stop on her phone.  Cheri made the comment, and I agree, it’s nice to here giggling come from her room.  I don’t know why she hasn’t had more friends over, she must be embarrassed by me.  TheEx even text her and wanted to pick them up early tomorrow and she said no because her friend was still here.  I like it when they tell her no.

I’ve been having issues with my internet on my laptop and my phone has been sucking ass lately.  It’s really starting to piss me off.  I’m guessing it’s my laptop and not necessarily the internet.  The internet all of the sudden about 2 weeks ago slowed way down.  My phone did about the same time too, it takes forever to do anything.  I tried to use the GPS to get to Samantha’s friends house today and it kept freezing which did me know good.  I was so tempted to toss it out the window.  I might be hitting AT&T this weekend about a new phone.  The website says I’m eligible for an upgrade so we’ll see.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Extant (DVR) – I definitely like this show.
  • Taxi Brooklyn (DVR) – This show isn’t too bad, it’s gradually getting better.  Which is why I usually give new shows 3 or 4 episodes before I quit watching.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – Heidi Klum was funny and so was Mike Birbiglia.  I remembered him from the days I listened to the Bob & Tom show.
  • Hot in Cleveland (DVR) – This is a weird episode, it’s all animated.  I’m not caring for it too much.  We actually stopped it not very long into it.
  • Duck Dynasty (DVR) – Funny episode pitting brothers vs. brothers.
  • Big Smo (DVR) – He has to write a song to pitch to Darius Rucker for a collaboration which, since I’ve listened to the album, I know he does.
  • Impractical Jokers (DVR) – I love this show, I can’t tell you enough times how hilarious this show is.

Journal, July 30th

I had an alright day at work, nothing special.  They posted no OT for the weekend which is good because it’s another weekend where the 2nd shift guy had requested off so I would have had to work 12 hours each day, now I only have to do Friday.

When I get home most days, Samantha comes out and gives me a hug and chats with me for a bit, I took her pictures while she was being Chatty Cathy.

On the way home, I passed Nick’s Golf Center and thought it would be a good day to take the family mini golfing.  Plus I hit the driving range and hit a few.

Jeff Laws's photo.

You don’t get a picture of me because I was the one taking them.  Ha Ha.

Internet was very slow tonight so I didn’t get much done blog wise.  I’m heading to bed in a few, probably just after 10.

Check out them all – Random Thoughts from a Random Guy, My Sports Obsession, My Sports Obsession TumblrMy Sports Obsession – Wolverines, My Sports Obsession – Index, A Day in the Life of a Nobody,My Life (private), and Cats Are Cuter.  I also post on Too Many Manninghams.

  • I posted 3 posts each (they were preset awhile ago) to all 6 of the everyday tumblrs as well.  I also went through my saved photos and queued up more in all the tumblrs.
  • Most days I post the last song that I listened to off my Spotify playlist – Anything & Everything, to my Tumblr blog A Day in the Life of a Nobody, called Last Song of the Day.  Here’s the album cover, click it to find out what song it was and to play it so you can listen too.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • the Wil Wheaton project (DVR) – Comic Con special.  As funny as this show is, I was hoping to see some real “nerd” news too.  Not that I don’t like it, just thought that would make a good show too.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – The main guest was Vin Diesel who sees like a cool guy.  He was a big action star but my favorite movie of his is probably the Pacifier.  Audrey Plaza was the 2nd guest and I don’t really know her but she was funny.  Will.I.Am was the music guest, sucked as usual but at least I had heard of the artist
  • Married at First Sight (DVR) – Moving in and getting into financial decisions.  They all seem to be doing well except one couple.  I’m not sure why he wanted to get married because he seems to want what he wants and not what they want.
  • Covert Affairs (DVR) – Annie gets caught, again.  Someone else bail’s her out, again.

Journal, July 29th

Had a very busy morning.  So busy that I didn’t take my morning break because I couldn’t find 10 minutes of free time to go.  We had 3 change-overs before lunch and any free time when I wasn’t setting those up was spent transferring stock to smaller boxes so we could use the containers they were in to ship because we were completely out.  I busted my ass but I kept up and I managed to keep us running all the way till lunch without any help before I had no more boxes.  The part that pisses me off is I’m sure nobody even noticed how hard I was working.  That’s usually the case.

Came home and saw the kids for a few minutes before theEx and the JackAss picked them up to go to a supper with his family.  I was under the impression that they were getting picked up at 12:30 but as usual, their plans change.  Good thing we don’t plan things until they are actually gone.  After they left, we ran to Walmart and Martin’s to grab some groceries.  We’ve been eating out way too much lately because we haven’t gotten groceries.

I decided to go through my feedly tonight, good thing, since I had over 10,000 unread.

  • I posted 3 posts each (they were preset awhile ago) to all 6 of the everyday tumblrs as well.  I also went through my saved photos and queued up more in all the tumblrs.
  • I forgot to post one to My Sports Obsession yesterday, I had every intention of doing so, just totally spaced it.  I did post one today.
  • I noticed that I only have 3 more queued up for A Day in the Life of a Nobody so that will run out of posts tomorrow.  Except for the Last Song of the Day posts.  I need to get through my feedly more often to get more to post.
  • Most days I post the last song that I listened to off my Spotify playlist – Anything & Everything, to my Tumblr blog A Day in the Life of a Nobody.  Here’s the album cover, click it to find out what song it was and to play it so you can listen too.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Running Wild with Bear Grylls (DVR) – The first episode, it looked interesting.  I don’t know anything about Bear Grylls but you can tell by the previews what he’s all about.  This episode has Zac Efron.
  • Under the Dome (DVR) – I likes this show because I have no idea where it’s going.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – James Franco was the main guest.  Him and Jimmy playing the 5 second movie plot quiz was hilarious.
  • Arrow (live) – Next episode looks really interesting because of the end of this one.

Journal, July 28th

I got absolutely no sleep last night.  I slept in to long yesterday (10:30am) and then couldn’t sleep last night.  By the time I did fall asleep, it was probably close to 1am and even then it felt like I was waking up every half an hour.  Needless to say, 5am rolled around fairly quickly when the alarm got me up, again.

Once I got to work, I was awake and didn’t really feel sleepy most of the day.  That didn’t stop me from taking a power nap after work.  Hopefully that didn’t screw me up for going to sleep tonight.

  • Unforgettable (DVR) – I think it’s funny how the last couple of episodes they start with everyday people testing her memory.
  • the Witches of East End (DVR) – So many new characters, I’m not sure I’m really into this season.
  • the Lottery (DVR) – This has been decent so far, it’s always more realistic with a correct government.
  • Switched at Birth (live) – Daphne is really becoming a dumbass.
  • Major Crimes (live) – This episode was pretty funny, it had Luke Perry guest starring on it.

Journal, July 27th

Every weekend that the kids are with theEx, I get a text from Samantha about staying there during the week.  I’ve told them time and time again, that if their mom is not home, they are not staying there.  Usually once I get them home, Samantha will tell me that the JackAss wanted her to ask and she was glad I said no.  He just keeps pushing and pushing thinking I’ll change my mind which just goes to show how well he knows me, if you want me to change my mind, pushing is the last thing that will do it.

I enjoyed the day of sitting around and doing nothing.  I feel like I got some things accomplished online.

  • I posted to My Sports Obsession and Too Many Manninghams, those were the 2 that I prepared yesterday.
  • I also posted 13 to My Life to get caught up through April of 2009.
  • I posted 3 posts each (they were preset awhile ago) to all 6 of the everyday tumblrs as well.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • House of Cards (Netflix) – We watched 5 episodes today,  The last 2 of the 1st season and the first 3 of the 2nd season.
  • the Last Ship (live) – A scare on the ship as they think the virus might be on board.  I do like this show, it’s rather original.
  • the Strain (live) – Definitely liking this show.  Creepy but good.
  • Falling Skies (DVR) – It’s getting a little better.  I really liked the first season and this season has been a little slow getting going.

Journal, July 26th

We got up and went to breakfast this morning and then went to a modular home lot to talk to them about a home.  Everything sounds great, but we’ll see what they come up with.  It would be nice to find land and pick out a brand new home that we like compared to getting an older house.  As in most things in my life though, it sounds to good to be true.  Something will go wrong, it usually does.

We sat around most of the day other than running to my mom’s to let her dogs and my brothers dogs out.  He went to Cedar Point today and my mom was dog sitting but they had something going on all afternoon and evening so we got contracted to let them out.  Between the 2 of them, they have 6 dogs and 4 of them are big dogs.  So when you open the door, you just step out of the way otherwise they will knock you on your ass.

Going to bed now since it’s almost 2 am, I’ll probably sleep in too much and not be able to go to bed early enough to get enough sleep before work Monday morning.

Check out them all – Random Thoughts from a Random Guy, My Sports Obsession, My Sports Obsession TumblrMy Sports Obsession – Wolverines, My Sports Obsession – Index, A Day in the Life of a Nobody, My Life (private), and Cats Are Cuter.  I also post on Too Many Manninghams.

  • I did manage a trade post to My Sports Obsession and Too Many Manninghams.  That says a lot as they take a little more time than just posting a quick ebay or COMC pickup.  I also did tomorrows posts for those 2 blogs where it’s essentially an update of what I posted on the 2 Tumblr blogs.
  • I posted 3 posts each (they were preset awhile ago) to all 6 of the everyday tumblrs as well.
  • I also posted 3 posts on My Life, then I got sidetracked when I realized I spelled my niece’s name wrong on 23 posts so I spent some time changing all those.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Boston Legal (DVD, 4 episodes) – We are slowly going through the seasons on this through Netflix.  I’ve actually seen them but Cheri hasn’t.  We are in season 2 at the moment.  We only get 1 disc at a time so it’ll be awhile before we get through them all.
  • Beyond Scared Straight (DVR) – As I said before, I like seeing the kids that think they are bad asses end up crying in the end.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR, 2 episodes) – First episode had Morgan Freeman as the main guest.  He’s funny because he acts irritated at everything Jimmy does.  The second episode from Friday had Jon Hamm, who I’m not really familiar with but their skit was hilarious, Jimmy could barely keep a straight face.  The end with Martha Stewart was funny mainly because she knew Jimmy hate mayonnaise so she brought a huge jar of it and Jimmy was grossed out.
  • Covert Affairs (DVR) – A decent episode and is setting up next weeks.
  • A bunch of reality shows that my wife usually watches while I’m at work but since she wasn’t home Thursday and Friday, she was behind and we watched everything else on the DVR that I watch.

Journal, July 25th

Most days I post the last song that I listened to off my Spotify playlist – Anything & Everything, to my Tumblr blog A Day in the Life of a Nobody.  Here’s the album cover, click it to find out what song it was and to play it so you can listen too.

I did post one to My Sports Obsession, that’ll probably be it for this evening.  Not much of anything going on this weekend so I’m hoping to get some stuff done, but we’ll see.  Sometimes I’m just not in the mood.

So I went to meet theEx at our usual meeting place at 4:30, I was there early, as I always am.  About 5 minutes after our meeting, I received a text from her that she just woke up.  She lives about 25 minutes away.  I just went home and told her she could pick up the kids at 8 tonight at our place.

Right after she text me about just waking up, the JackAss starting texting Samantha.  She wasn’t happy about it, she didn’t want to talk to him.  Despite me telling her to ignore him, she responded and eventually she said that he said that he got bit by a horse on his knee and it broke his prosthetic.  He said he had to go to the hospital.  How much of this is true, we’ll probably never know since we can’t really believe a word out of his mouth, but it gave us all a good laugh.  My guess is if it did happen, he went to the hospital to get it on record so he can sue someone since he’s such a douchebag.

Cheri got home from her trip around 4:30 and we’ve been sitting and catching up on the DVR.  We will probably head to bed early tonight, she’s exhausted from the conference and the driving.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Hot in Cleveland (DVR) – This show has it’s funny moments which makes it worth watching.
  • Taxi Brooklyn (DVR) – Still not sure what to make of this show.  It’s alright, nothing special.  I’m guessing it probably won’t last long.
  • Big Smo (DVR) – I like country music, I like some rap music.  Why not?  There were 2 episodes on the DVR.
  • Impractical Jokers (DVR) – If you’re not watching this show, you are missing out.  Every week I laugh harder than I do at anything else.
  • The Carbonaro Effect (DVR) – This magic prank show has some really great clips.  The people’s reactions to things changing right in front of them is hilarious.
  • Married (DVR) – This episode wasn’t as good as the first one, we’ll see if it gets better.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – It’s from Thursday night, main guest was Robin Wright.  Actually recognized the band tonight – Weezer.  It was a new song but at least it was something I could tolerate.

Journal, July 24th

They took down the possibility of working on Saturday so now there should be no reason for me too.  My brother came up to me at a quarter till 2 (I get off at 2) and asked if I wanted to go golfing after work.  Hells yeah!  Cheri’s out of town today and tomorrow so I had to go to my moms and pick up the kids, come home and change, drop the kids off at my brothers, then go to the course.

We go to a place up in Michigan, it’s only 5 minutes or so from my brothers house.  It’s only 9 holes, which works for us and it’s a decent course.  I did alright, I was very inconsistent and I still shank about 1/5 of my pitching wedge shots because I’m still getting used to the new irons, especially the pitching wedge.  I had a few drives that went right that I had to correct but my iron play was decent, as it usually is.  I did have 1 hole where it was 260 yards to the green and I crushed it to the right of the green.  That might be my longest drive ever.  I have golfed off and on for over 25 years but I’ve only been using an actual driver less than a year.  I used to use a driving iron instead until it broke on the course so I figured I should try a driver again, and surprise, I can actually hit it decent now.  I ended up with a 46 which was good enough to take our 4some.  I won by 4 strokes over my brother who had a pretty good game for himself.  He was chipping well which he never does and putting like a madman.  He usually putts well but he was exceptional today.

Afterwards, I picked up the kids and we headed off to Subway (their choice) for some supper and then home.  I talked to Cheri for a bit on the phone and haven’t really done much since.  Been watching TV but mostly reruns for me so they won’t be listed below.  With Cheri not being here, I can only watch certain shows so we can watch the others together.  A couple of the shows I like that she doesn’t are on tonight so I’ll probably watch those.

I did manage to squeeze out 15 posts onto “My Life”, which is the special project I was telling you about a couple of weeks ago.  I’m now up to April 15th, 2009.  I just started tweeting and I went a little nuts.  Every day of April so far, I’ve posted a minimum of 2 tweets and sometimes as many as 5.  I’ll be glad when I get back to my normal tweeting of hardly ever.  That blog will go a lot quicker.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Defiance (DVR) – This is one of the shows that I mainly watch just to watch.  It’s an alright show but I’m not really into it to where I must see it.  I have a few shows like that, their ok, but nothing spectacular.
  • Dominion (DVR) – This show I’m a little more into, good angels and bad angels fighting for/against humanity.

Journal, July 23rd

No blog updates, I haven’t done anything with them.  I will probably post one to My Sports Obsession later but other than that, nada.

They posted the OT schedule for the weekend and it looks like I have the weekend off.  Woo Hoo!  Now I just have to survive the next couple of days without my better half.  She’s going to a 31 conference, she leaves bright and early tomorrow morning, probably earlier than I get up which is 5 am.  She’ll be back Friday night, just in time to enjoy our weekend of probably not doing anything.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – Main guest was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.  I’ve been a fan of his since his wrestling days.  He seems like a genuinely nice guy.
  • Arrow (live) – This show just keeps getting better with the twists.
  • Extant (live) – This show is getting really good.

Journal, July 22nd

I’m thinking about setting up a schedule for each day of the week.  Once I get done with my daily’s I have to decide from a few things to do.  I’m thinking if I make a list of what to do that day, it might force me to spread my online time a little better.  I’m way behind on my feedly again because I spend my time doing other things.  We’ll see.

I did sit down after my daily’s and filled up most of my Tumblr’s.  I have 48 queued for My Sports Obsession, 28 for My Sports Obsession – Wolverines, 24 for Cats are Cuter and 23 for A Day In The Life of a Nobody.  So all 4 of those will run for a week.

Nothing going on today.  Worked, came home and sat around all evening.  Actually texted with my oldest daughter which is very, very rare.  My youngest daughter on the other hand seems to be going crazy with her phone.  Our billing period started on the 18th and she’s already been on the phone for 914 minutes and have used 1867 text messages.  That’s only in 4 days and 99% of both of those numbers are to her girl friend as in friend who’s a girl although with those numbers, I’m starting to wonder.  Thank God both of those are unlimited.  I want to tell her she doesn’t need to be on the phone that often but she’s not really hurting anything.  She doesn’t use it like that if we’re together, just when she’s hiding out in her bedroom.

Here’s a listing of all the new (to us) episodes that we watched tonight.

  • Witches of East End (DVR) – We liked last season but are having trouble getting into this one.
  • Switched at Birth (DVR) – One of the few dramas we watch.  We like it and have watched it from the beginning.  Although, last night’s episode was a little overly dramatic with Daphne trying cocaine because her father died and she blames her mother.  He died of an aneurysm.
  • Major Crimes (DVR) – We really liked the Closer and have followed this spin off when it ended.  It pretty much has all the same cast minus Kyra Sedgwick.
  • the Lottery (DVR) – A new show, this is the pilot episode.  It was pretty good, we’ll continue to watch it I’m sure.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – Kate Hudson was the main guest.  They played Box of Lies, Cheri and I always enjoy when he plays games with the guests.
  • Arrow (live) – This show continues to impress me, I’m not sure why I never watched it originally.
  • Married at First Sight (live) – The wedding nights and honeymoons.  Awkward!
  • the Wil Wheaton project (live) – I’m a geek, I can’t help it.

Journal, July 21st

Not much going on today.  Worked 12 hours so I doubt I’ll do much online tonight.  I did get through my daily’s but I doubt I’ll do much else.  It’s already 10:30, I’m pretty sure I’ll crash pretty soon, probably after Under the Dome.

TheEx picked up the kids because it was her birthday so they went out for a birthday supper.  After they dropped them back off, the JackAss called and apologized for being a douche and basically blamed it on his medical issues and was telling me he was trying to get better.  Blah, blah, blah, I’ve heard it all before.  I’m sure it’s a ploy to let me let the kids stay at their house during the week while theEX is at work.  Right now, I don’t allow it because I don’t want something medically to happen to him while the kids are there.

  • Return to Amish (DVR) – Another reality show.  It kills me that the Amish consider themselves so holy but shun their own family.
  • the Strain (DVR) – This show definitely has my attention.  Apparently it’s vampires but it comes as a virus of some kind.  It’s been a pretty cool show so far.
  • Under the Dome (DVR) – It’s based on a Stephen King novel.  I have to watch it.  It helps that it’s pretty good as well.

Journal, July 20th

Not too much going on today.  We woke up a little late and was planning on going to Hardee’s for breakfast (Cheri was having a craving) so we got ready quickly and headed out and hoped they would still be serving breakfast by the time we got there.  We had to go a couple of towns over and technically, into another state, but we made it.  It’s about a 25-30 minute drive up into Michigan to get there.  They used to have them around here but they all closed down.  When Cheri lived in the south, they are all over the place, hence the craving all of the sudden.  We make the trek about once a year anymore.

About 3 o’clock we headed over to my grandfathers sister in laws for my cousins kid’s birthday party.  She has a pool and we use it time to time for birthday parties.  You may remember Samantha having her birthday party there earlier this month.  It was very warm out so Cheri could only stick it out for so long but the kids had a good time.

I don’t know if I’ll be spitting one of these out tomorrow, I have to work 12 hours to cover the guy on 2nd who took another vacation day.

  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon – Main guest star was Dan Akyroyd who mainly talked about his new movie about James Brown.  It was Friday’s show so there was Thank You notes which is one of his best features.
  • the Last Ship – A pretty good episode.  Some of the crew and captain go into the woods to get monkeys to start testing an antivirus but find a cruel leader of a village who uses his authority to do what he wants.
  • Falling Skies – This season hasn’t been nearly as interesting as the previous.

Journal, May18th & 19th

I meant to post this last night before I went to bed and forgot.

Yesterday, I spent all evening getting posts to go for the My Sports Obsession Tumblr blog.  I got 49 of them set up so it’ll run for a couple of weeks.  I planned on getting other Tumblr blogs done but I didn’t realize just how many I had saved up.  Guess I took way too much time off.

I did get a post on My Sports Obsession the last couple of days as well.

I had ok day work wise yesterday, the bad news is the seem to be running a line of BS as far as rolling me over to the company.  The good news was, I was so pissed off all day that the day went pretty quickly.

We had our company picnic at the county fairgrounds during the fair today.  The food was really good and they gave away some great prizes but I didn’t win any.  I don’t really have a whole lot of friends at work, I’m not much of a social butterfly, so it’s not like it was a great time with friends.  I did enjoy taking the kids on rides afterwards though.  The company gave out free tickets for rides as well so the picnic was definitely worth it.  I didn’t like seeing the guy that pissed me off yesterday and he didn’t say anything to me but he just annoys me and I don’t think he likes me, which I wouldn’t care about except he’s one of my bosses and I’ve never given him a reason to not like me, he just doesn’t.

Tonight we are just chilling at the homestead.

Yesterday

  • Impractical Jokers (DVR) – I love this show, if you have never seen it you need to make sure you do.  It’s on TruTV.
  • the Carbonaro Effect (DVR) – A magic prank show.  Michael Carbonaro does magic in everyday life and then BS’s to the people that witness it.  The peoples reactions are usually pretty funny.
  • Married (DVR) – It’s the pilot episode.  It’s pretty funny but I’m not sure how long it will last.
  • the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – The parts I watched were ok.  I fell asleep through most of John Lithgow but the part with Miranda Kerr was funny.  I didn’t know who she was though.  The music guest was someone I heard of at least – Jason Marz.  I didn’t know the song though.
  • Beyond Scared Straight (DVR) – I must admit, I mainly watch this to see the teens that think they are the shit, end up crying when they realize they aren’t as bad as they think they are.

Today

  • House of Cards (Netflix) – We watched the first 8 episodes of season 1 tonight.  I’m not much for political shows but we like this one.

We rented a couple of DVD’s last night as well.

  • 3 Days to Kill – This was a pretty good action with a little comedy/drama in it.  Kevin Costner is doing one last job before he quits but is also in charge of his 17 year old estranged daughter for 3 days.  I’d give it 4 stars, Cheri said the same.
  • Non-stop – Liam Neeson in a action/thriller, you know it should be good, and it was.  You really had no clue who the bad guy was until they wanted you to know.  It made for a very interesting movie.  I’d give it 4 stars as well, Cheri says 5 stars because it’s Liam.

Journal, July 17th

I don’t have too many updates.  I have kept up with My Sports Obsession blog so far and I had kept up with my Tumblr blogs, until tomorrow.  I didn’t take the time tonight to set posts for tomorrow.  As you can since your reading this, I did post here though.  Woo Hoo!

I got off work at 2 and I’ve had some cardboard boxes that I needed to give back to my mom that we borrowed when Skyler moved a couple of weekends ago.  I was going to take the back a couple of days ago but I ended up just driving by because my mom wasn’t home.  So I guess technically, I just wanted to see my mom.  I hadn’t seen her since the 4th (I think).  I’ve text with her here and there but that was about it so I just wanted to stop by and chit chat.

I sent a text to Cheri to tell her where I was at and she said that her and the kids were waiting for me to go to Steak ‘n Shake and get some shakes.  So I ended up leaving my mom’s and picked them up and headed out to Steak ‘n Shake.  They have “Happy Hour” between 2-4 every weekday and you get half price shakes so we got 4 shakes for $7.  Then we hit the local grocery store to pick up a few items that Cheri didn’t get at Walmart this morning (mainly meat and vegetables) then headed home.  Here’s my Facebook status that pretty much sums up everything and a little something else.

Got off work, hung out with my mom for half an hour, took the kids to Steak 'n Shake for Happy Hour shakes, went to Martin's for some groceries, came home, showered and shaved. All that and I was in my PJ's and relaxing by 5:15. Getting off at 2 is way better than 7. #SuckItAACOA

I was going to screen cap it but it isn’t apparently working unless I restart my computer and I’m really close to going to bed so screw that.

I did play chess again with Trevor tonight.  He about had me, he actually had me playing more defense than offense which is what I told him he needed to work on.  He made 1 mistake and it steamrolled from there.  Both kids think I’m really good at chess and I’m really not, I’m just better than they are.  I told Trevor that if he played often enough, and took his time thinking out his moves then it wouldn’t be long until he was beating me.

  • Duck Dynasty (DVR) – I’m not in love with this show as I once was, but it’s still pretty funny.
  • Big Smo (DVR) – Another new reality show, it’s not too bad and I do like a couple of his songs or raps or whatever you call them.
  • Hot in Cleveland (DVR) – You wouldn’t think this show would be as funny as it is.  Of course, having Betty White helps.
  • The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (DVR) – It was an alright show, main guest was Whoopi Goldberg and as usual on this show, never heard of the music artist.
  • Cooperstown:  Frank Thomas (DVR) – A 1 hour special on the career of Frank Thomas who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
  • Defiance (DVR) – One of the sci-fi shows I like that Cheri doesn’t care for.
  • Dominion (DVR) – See the above description.
