A to Z Challenge–Kansas to Kris Kross

* the “genres” listed are my own timeline of music which you’ll find here.  If you want to know a quick story of the genre, (Why the hell is he listening to that?) then click the genre link to go back to the timeline page.  (My genres are classic, 80’s, Christian, hip hop/rap/90’s, rock/alternative, Virginia song, before spotify and spotify.

**Any pictures of album covers denotes that I owned it at one time in my life.

Kansas

Kansas – I don’t really know much about the group, but I know I love both of these songs.  Both are probably in my top 10 for that decade.

Katy Perry

Keb Mo

Tin Cup

Keith Urban

Keith Urban – Track 10 on the CD Cheri made me was Once in a Lifetime and that song was my introduction to Keith Urban.  Really this CD was my introduction to current country, not that every song was country, but some of them were.  As you can tell, I like his music, I believe I just added Cop Car this past week when I heard it on the radio.

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Sweet

Kenny Loggins

Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers 2

Kid Rock

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon – Track 11 on our CD was Use Somebody on our CD.  To be honest, I’m not sure where I even heard Sex on Fire but whenever I did, I liked it.

KISS

Kool and the Gang

Korn

Kris Kross

  1. A couple of Katy Perry and lots of Kenny Rogers on my list. I have seen Kenny in concert years ago (before the plastic surgery). It was awesome.

    1. Up until I made this playlist, I probably hadn't heard any Kenny Rogers in years.

  2. I especially like the Kid Rock and Kelly Clarkson stuff on your list this time. I'd like to recommend:

-Kate Nash - Doo Wah Doo and Pumpkin Soup
-Kay Hanley - pretty much anything, she's my favorite singer. I'll recommend Cellars by Starlight, Happy to Be Here, and Te Amo to start with. She's also the lead singer for Letters to Cleo, which I highly recommend
    -Keri Noble - Go Proud
-The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night, Lola, and You Really Got Me
-KT Tunstall - I Want You Back, If Only, Suddenly I See

    1. I liked Kay Hanley, I'll have to listen to some more of her stuff when I have time. I added a couple of the others as well.

  3. Interesting choices for the letter K, although I loathe one of those KISS songs as it is severely overkilled on radio. Same goes with those two Kansas songs. Gotta love commercial radio in which they take a good song that you like and beat it to the point where you extremely loathe it.

    1. That's the advantage I have of hardly ever listening to the radio, and when those 3 songs were popular, I wasn't listening to the radio because my parents had control of it.

  4. Hmmm... after agreeing with you on everything for L, this list is the opposite. I pretty much only like Korn. :)
